Our Cragg House Farm Open Day is your chance to step beyond the gate and experience real farm life β meet the animals, watch our sheepdogs at work, and enjoy a relaxed, hands-on day out for the whole family.

This isnβt a staged attraction β itβs a real working hill farm, and everything you see is part of daily life here.
π Sheepdog Demonstrations
Watch our highly trained sheepdogs in action as they move and manage sheep across the field. Learn about the skill, communication and partnership behind traditional shepherding.
π Meet the Animals
Get up close to our friendly farm animals, including:

A rare opportunity to properly meet and learn about the animals that produce our food.

Learn about the heritage and role of Fell ponies in upland farming, with a live demonstration and talk.

We are located in Buttermere Village.

No dogs (except those entered into the dog show)
Children must be supervised at all times
